Istanbul Leather and Leather Products Exporters' Association (IDMIB) aims to increase the sector's share in world trade; continues its activities to achieve a value-added and sustainable export increase. It is important to increase our country's market share in South Korea, especially for the leather and leather products sector, which aims to increase value-added exports. In this regard, the issue of organizing a sectoral trade delegation to South Korea, which is within the scope of both the Distant Countries Strategy of our Ministry of Commerce and the export targets of our Union, was brought to the agenda of the Board of Directors; It has been decided to make the necessary preparations between 9-14 October in the footwear and leather goods sectors.
24 companies participated in the delegation held in Seoul, South Korea on 9-14 October 2023. 18 of the 21 participating companies are in the shoe industry; 2 of them operate in the leather goods, 1 of them in the fur goods sector.
