Istanbul Leather and Leather Products Exporters’ Association (IDMIB) continues its activities in order to increase the market diversity of our country in exports, to enhance Türkiye’s market share in the sector and to contribute to the sustainable export target.

Canada is considered among the important target markets for the Turkish leather and leather products sector, particularly in the footwear and leather/fur garments product groups. In this context, a sectoral trade delegation was organized by IDMIB to Canada between 5-10 July 2026, with the participation of 18 companies operating in the footwear and leather/fur garments sectors.

The representatives of the participating companies departed from Türkiye on 5 July 2026 and held sectoral trade delegation activities in Canada. The delegation was accommodated at Delta Hotels by Marriott, Montreal. Within the scope of the organization, participating companies promoted their collections and samples to potential buyers and held bilateral business meetings with Canadian companies in order to develop new business opportunities and strengthen Türkiye’s export potential in the Canadian market.

The delegation included companies operating under brands such as Albertinifur, Anka99, Perre, Emelda, Eric Nurnberg, Luigi Leather & Fur, Heya Shoes, Geronimo, Karyoka, Mammamia, Olive, Bravelli, Evromoda, Rubis, La Pinta, Suedmod and Sepol.
