APLF-Leather encompasses the entire leather supply chain, from raw and semi-processed leathers to finished leathers, chemicals, dyes, tanning machinery, design, and support services. Materials+ covers footwear components, performance fabrics, accessories, fibers, manufacturing equipment, and wearable technologies. Although the Asia Pacific Leather Fair (APLF) Hong Kong Fair, first held in 1984, initially targeted the Asia Pacific region, it has since become an indispensable focal point for the international leather industry. APLF has dedicated many years to organizing leather and fashion trade shows, attracting 60,000 visitors annually and providing a premier venue for business and networking among exhibitors, buyers, and industry professionals.
The APLF Fair was held for the first time in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, in 2022. Following consultations in 2020, Dubai was chosen to target the Middle East market. In 2024, the fair is scheduled to return to Hong Kong after the lifting of restrictions and the establishment of normal conditions.
This year, for the 26th National Participation organization, Turkey's participation in the APLF Hong Kong Fair, organized by our association, is one of the largest in terms of area and number of participants. Within the scope of Turkish national participation, a total of 24 companies participated in the fair, including 24 in the processed and semi-processed leather and fur product group, and 1 in the machinery and chemicals product group, with a net stand area of 622 m².
